Boat rocked by Tom!!

long long time with no post!!

Life’s been a little hectic… Closed a show the other day and been super busy with others, among personal struggles involving image, weight, expectations, and not to even fucking mention career and my purpose in life!!

Just watched “The Boat That Rocked”… totally cool film, with awesome music and fucking hot Tom Sturridge!! He’s the guy that was first chosen to play Edward in the Twilight saga, though he turned it down, hence Rob Patterson is now Edward. Believe it or not, Tom and Rob are actually best friends, they’re the same age (23… just right :P )and they went to the same school in London!!! If you can, I defiantly recommend watching the film, you’ll love it, and I also heard from a friend that its based on a true story…. not all the detail and stuff I think, but in general with the boat and government!

I mean, could you possibly get any hotter, cutter and just dam shagable?!

He also apparently loves books (love that!), partying/chilling until the early hours and of course has a fucking sexy accent!!

I’ve also managed to stumble on a collection of photos of possibly the hottest actors, let me know if you want some more posts!!

Disbelief Suspended Indefinitely

Hey Hey, back again. The washing machine stole one of my firkin socks!! So bloody annoying! Thats why I put my socks in wash bags, so I don’t end up with odd pairs – not that I’m against that (sometimes I purposely mix them up) – and whenever the bag managed to come open, I always lose one!

Anyhow, last night I went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. WOW! Thats all I can really say, WOW! It actually surpassed my expectations.  David Yates, who also directed The Order of the Phoenix, and am very glad to say will be directing The Deathly Hallows Part I and Part II. What he did with the characters, the movement and the not so easily transformed parts of the book was stunning. His suspension of disbelief was thoroughly whole. It was fast passed, funny (much funnier than the last ones), suspenseful, and completely made you love, hate, cry, laugh, worry, despair, and hope with all the characters – even Draco Malfoy (though secretly I have always had a soft spot for him)!

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Rupert Grint (Ron), Emma Watson (Hermionie), Bonnie Wright (Ginny), and Tom Felton (Draco), all held very true to the characters, and in my opinion, did stunning performances! Not only the principals, but all the supporting actors and actresses did a brilliant job, because with out them, the principals wouldn’t pull it no matter how great their acting.

All in all, it was a great film. I believed it completely, and I think I will continue to every time I see it! I would actually go and see it again, so shut down your computer, and get to that cinema!!

Transformed

So today I saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Directed by Michael Bay, and staring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. Very nice performances from both of them, and even nicer directing, although, I did find the fight sequence in Egypt a tad confusing at times. There was all a very nice performance by Auzzie actress Isabel Lucas, who played the role of a sassy young college girl who actualy wasn’t a girl, but rather a Deceptatron in disguise, and on a mission to seduce and kill Sam.

May people don’t find the Transformers films that great, but, I’ve found them awesome! Usually I don’t like any kind of fictional stuff set in modern day – bar the occasional romantic comedy flick. This film however has that nice twist of Sci-Fi, come Space/Cyber geek theme to it. I’ve also found a tad of Steampunk influence in it, what with all the mechanics and non-quantum physics in it. For those of you who don’ know what Steampunk is, google it, wikipedia it, or search for costumes/sets in that genre, its totally cool! I only discovered it recently and it was like drinking water for the first time. I’ve always been torn between the kind of knights and swords of the medieval ages, and the alternate modern world of mechanics. Now, I don’t have to be, YAY!

One thing I love about going to see movies (apart from the movie its self), is the trailers before hand. I mean, yeah you can watch trailers online, but when its on the silver screen. Some of the ones coming up look really great and I actually can’t wait to see them!

Indeed, I DO…

Last night, I went and saw the film The Proposal staring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds… I have to say that it is one of the funniest and also deep movies I’ve seen in quite a while. Sandra plays Margaret Tate  so well, and Ryan, well, aside from being totally gorgeous, he  gives Andrew Paxton so much depth and  trueness you just want his character to be real!

Even my mother who sneers at many film because they “Don’t speak to her”. Even though she likes to say she is open minded, she really isn’t; she just thinks that what she believes is right is the be all and end all and everything else, and everyone else’s opinions are wrong!

Any-who, I think its a great film, well written (Pete Chiarelli), directed well (Anne Fletcher), and great cinematography (Oliver Stapelton –  A lot of Alaska)! i would love to work on something like this!

Actually, I cant wait until the end of the year, so many good ones coming. Of course New Moon and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, but there are so many more, some of which I can’t say because I don’t think the press have even released it yet, hehehe :P

Relations Away… (way away)!!

You know what I hate, I really hate when you have a great freaking idea, or something had just got to come out, then you sit down to write it and its gone. It can happen over the space of like 30 seconds, not even that. There is something else I really hate, but guess what, just as I was about to blog, I’ts gone!

Anyway… Yesterday I received an invitation for a friends wedding in a couple of months, I think it’s one of the 4 weddings that I know is happening this year (among my friends & family friends). So far, I’ve been invited to 2 of them…. the other 2 have not even sent their invites yet and I don’t think they will for another few months at least  because its a lot later in the year. Its kind of a wake up call really! Pretty much all of my friends are in serious relationships, and my closest friend – I think – will be pretty much engaged by the end of the year/ early next year, or extremely close to it… Kinda sad really. I imagined myself in at least some sort of relationship by this time, but it just hasn’t happened – and its been a while!

Sometimes I wonder, what brings people together? What makes that spark go off? How do they realise that this person is special to them and that the other person feels the same? I would love to know those answers. If you have taken a look at my reading list, you can probably get a fair idea of the romances and adventures of my brain. There are no malls, no eating disorders, no industrial-ness as it is now, and it seems, no effort. It just happens because they live and interact with each other, most people I live and interact with, just aren’t like that (and anyone who is, is taken)!

I really could ramble on forever, but I will spare you, and I actually need to get ready! Until I return then!
